I was prescribed Diflucan 150mg (1 capsule) for oral thrush, but I have just read the leaflet which says?

Though there is no hard and fast rule, Diflucan 150mgs is designed and licenced for Genital candidiasis. l candidiasis, acute or recurrent. Candidal balanitis. For oropharyngeal candidiasis the usual dose is 50mg once daily for 7 - 14 days. This is because oral thrush has a higher cure rate when a longer course is used. Also more simple topical preparations such as Nystatin suspension or Daktacort oral gel are often used for oral thrush.
