Which University for Graphic Design?

Well a UC is more prestigious (and expensive) than a CSU, so that's probably why your friends are telling you to go to a UC. Just do research on that particular major for both schools and see which one would be better. You could always just get your undergrad at a CSU and then transfer to a UC.
