there is a greek idiom which could be translated word-to-word: "walk towards the corner and see if i am coming" ("τράβα στην γωνία να δεις αν έρχομαι" if someone speeks greek). it is used when for example somebody expects something from someone else and if the latest does not will to grant his request he can use this idiom which meaning is like "wait as long as you want, there's no way this happens". i would like to know if there is any english idiom similar to this
