WHY do liberals trust the admittedly leftist BBC?

We all enjoy and put faith in listening to things we agree with. Liberals and BBC are on the same page much of the time and it is nice to have our opinions reinforced. As a conservative, I would much rather listen to Michael Medved or Dennis Miller. It is helpfull to listen to BBC and others you do not agree with open mindedly to test your own reasoning.
