Legal Help! just today i recieved a ticket for jaywalking code 21955 and im a minor?

Just today I received a ticket for Jaywalking in Newark, California. I know it was the wrong thing to do but I was in a hurry to get back to school and attend tutoring, and it wasn't a disturbance to the traffic( there was no traffic) Its a violation of code 21955 and its an infraction. Since i'm a minor and my family is going through some difficult economic times is it possible to receive community service to pay off the fine or is it possible to pay it off in payments? I also asked the police officer the cost of the fine and he stated that he didn't know, so if anyone knows how much is the cost of these tickets?
